The Winter Olympic Games
The Winter Olympic Games are a big international sports event. The Games take place every four years. The first Winter Olympics, the 1924 Winter Olympics, were in Chamonix, France. There were some ice sports such as skiing, skating, ice hockey, ski jumping and speed skating.
The 24th Winter Olympic Games will be held in Beijing. It will be from 4 to 20 February, 2022. There will be three zones （区域） for the Games: Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou.

Within each zone, the convenient public transport can take players to the stadiums or fields within 5 to 15 minutes from the Olympic Villages. In 2008, the 28th Summer Olympics were held in Beijing. In 2022, Beijing will become the first city to hold both the summer and winter Olympics.
